It is with much heartache that I have to tell you that sadly Dawn (the owner of this challenge) passed away yesterday morning. She had been battling breast cancer for some time and put up a very brave fight never giving up hope that she could beat the illness or that a cure would be found.
Dawn started this challenge nearly two years ago and it has gone from strength to strength, I hope we can keep it going in her memory.
Our thoughts are with Craig, Kyle, Megan and all Dawn's family as they come to terms with their loss.
Rest in Peace Dawn, heaven just gained a crafting angel.

ReplyDeleteI have known Dawn for some years. Wonderful friend I met through a crafting messagboard and kept in touch with through Facebook. She was a very sweet lady and I will miss her dearly. Rest in Peace Dawn, you'll be missed.

ReplyDeleteI was speechless when I heard the news this morning. Even though Dawn & I never met in person, we had become friends over the internet 5+ years ago. We shared this challenge blog, ideas, family, our daily lives, our creations, etc. She became a part of my daily/weekly/monthly life and I will never forget our long online chats. I am going to greatly miss her but I know some day we'll meet. And when that happens it will begin the longest scrapping & chat fest ever! HUGs forever! <3
ReplyDeleteHow sad! Seems we have been devastated with loss in our crafting community in the last month. God bless all her family and friends! Knowing she is in a better place with no more struggles and no more pain. But that doesn't make us miss her less!
